Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday, 14 March 2000 at Merchant Taylors' Hall in the heart of the City of London. Tickets cost £50 (inclusive of VAT) and can be booked on the Registration Form. Included in the cost is a pre Dinner Reception and wines with the Dinner. A cash bar will be available after the Dinner. Please note that the Dinner is a black tie.

The Guild of Merchant Taylors' of the Fraternity of Saint John Baptist in the City of London is one of the Twelve Great City Livery Companies surviving from medieval times.

The first Merchant Taylors' Hall was built on the present site between 1347 and 1392 and was known as the 'Taillorshalle'. The Hall has twice been destroyed by fire - during the Great Fire 1666 and by incendiary bombs in 1940 - but on each occasion the walls and foundations survived and were incorporated in the restored Hall. Prominent features are mahogany panelling, Renatus Harris Organ and the stained glass windows containing Arms of Honorary Freemen and Benefactors.
